What is the one thing everyone does everyday of their lives from birth to the last breath?  Eat!  In order to find systematic and comprehensive solutions to critical world issues such as food, shelter and water, we first need fresh approaches to how we grow, process and consume our food. Then we need to integrate these new approaches with how we consume shelter and water.

This is not just a “local food” idea, but rather a paradigm shift on how we design and build our communities. Agriburbia is a real estate development methodology that encompasses much more than the next food trend. With innovative uses of technology, it offers the opportunity to transform our use of water and the environment, while creating the kind of sustainable communities that many of us want to live in.

In the end, it is about building infrastructure that provides the tapestry of life that we really want.  Agriburbia goes beyond convenience, to providing opportunities for productive engagement for all ages and stations in life. Food has always been the catalyst for community. This talk will show you how we are taking community to the next level in projects from Shanghai to the east coast and right here in Colorado.
