Briant brought personal computing to his first employer by carrying his own Apple II to work in a backpack. After 35 years in the finance and IT industries, he left IBM in 2013 to develop tools to help people think better. He believes that the combination of smartphones and new findings in the behavioral sciences can help us build tools to lead better lives. With a BA in economics and an MBA in finance as well as college teaching experience, he has had a lifelong interest in decision making at the business and individual level. His current study is focused on recent findings in the related fields of Behavioral Economics, Neuroeconomics, Neuromarketing, Evolutionary Psychology, Social Psychology and Psychology of Learning.
